Morgan Carroll is a dancer and choreographer based in Toronto, Ontario. While studying at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) as a dance major, she has choreographed for Enchoreo in 2020, the Choreographic film festival in 2021, and her year-end show “Collections” in April this year. She has worked with and performed excerpts created by Robert Glumbek, Roberto Campanella, Guillaume Cote, Alysa Pires, David Earl, Kenny Pearl and Miranda Meijer. As well as original pieces set by Alysa Pires, Emilio Colalillo, and Andrea Nann. She has also had the opportunity to work with David Raymond, Tiffany Tregarthen and Kate Franklin at the Modus Operandi Summer Intensive in 2021 and she also attended the Rubberband Dance winter intensive in December 2021. Morgan has been able to perform shows virtually and live with the Pro Arte Danza Summer Intensive Program (2019), Kenny Pearls Winter Intensives (2018 and 2019), Toronto Metropolitan University’s Choreographic Film Festival and the 4th year dance show “Collections”. Morgan has also worked with the artistic director Natasha Powell of HollaJazz alongside company member Tyreka Davis on “Together Again”, an original piece of choreography created for Fall for Dance North’s 2021 Festival to perform around the GTA. Most recently, Morgan has worked with Toronto based company Rock Bottom Movement on “Dinoland”, which was performed by 3rd and 4th year dancers in an hour-long dance film. She has also worked with Angela Blumberg in creating a piece to be performed for Springworks 2022 at the University. Morgan strives to perform and create movement that explores physicality through the truest emotions of oneself while making art that brings people together. Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson University) in June 2022.
