My name is Michael Dang, also known as Oroki オロキ. My moniker is a portmanteau of Orochi オロチ (Great Snake) and Ki キ (Air). These are attributes of both my art and movement style.
I am an aerial performer of multiple disciplines and also instruct regularly at studios nearby in Seattle, WA. With a background in hip hop choreography and climbing both indoors and out, I sought circus as a creative outlet to combine my artistry and strength. I began my training at Emerald City Trapeze Arts where I found two of my dear mentors, Deon Fox and Jessica Perry. I've also trained at NECCA for their Immersion Workshops and San Francisco Circus Center for private tutelage.
Along with performing nationwide, I am actively cultivating my community and producing the kind of shows and art I would like to see more of: engaging, unorthodox, and unique movement styles.
