Impassioned by performing arts, Martin Frenette started intensive dance training at a young age before trading pliés and barres for ropes and somersaults at Montreal's National Circus School.
Martin spent a decade in Europe, where he joined several productions. Circus Monti, Chamäleon Theater, Wintergarten Varieté, Cirque Bouffon, GOP Show Concepts, and the Friedrichsbau Varieté allowed him to grow artistically and personally. After many years spent performing, directing, choreographing, and coaching artists in Canada and the United States, Martin returned to Europe and now feels at home in Germany.
His signature Double Rope act makes him stand out among other aerialists. He creates images unique to this apparatus, and can waltz in what looks like a floating maze that he'll break free from in a neck drop! This is no regular aerial performance of splits and arabesques above the crowd! This act moves audiences because it isn't about posing and hanging in the air, but a real choreography set on the music with mesmerizing images and tricks that can't be done on other apparatus. You'll get what you and your audience are looking for in terms of aesthetics, energy, and professionalism.
