Maddie Roth

Based in Philadelphia, they are a theatre artist specializing in directing, devising, and intimacy direction. A certified Content Forward Artist, they hold a BFA in Directing from Salem State University and are currently pursuing an MFA in Devised Performance at the Pig Iron School.

They are a co-founder of Fall Risk Theatre Collective and debuted their inaugural devised, immersive theatre production, Adventures at Skyline Wilderness Camp, during the 2025 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Their practice is rooted in a feminist directing model, prioritizing consent-based and trauma-informed rehearsal spaces.

Directing credits include Fun Home and Evil Dead The Musical, while performance highlights include Ophelia in Hamlet. An ACTF SDC Directing Initiative winner, they are dedicated to creating impactful, collaborative theatre that challenges traditional hierarchies and fosters artistic safety.
