Laura is an aerialist and flying trapeze artist based in Seattle, WA. She specializes in aerial straps, while also regularly training and performing on aerial fabric and net (as a hammock). She currently teaches and performs at Emerald City Trapeze Arts while also pursuing freelance performance gigs in Seattle. She most recently performed with Venardos Circus and in Seattle's Moisture Festival.
Laura grew up as a gymnast, training and competing in USA Gymnastics from age 5 to 16. After retiring from gymnastics she spent 3 years studying dance, primarily in the styles of contemporary and musical theatre. From there she began pursuing circus while at university. After completing her A.B.J. in Public Relations, she went to train in the intensive program at the New England Center for Circus Arts. Post-NECCA she was fortunate to spend a year at Club Med Punta Cana with Creactive by Cirque du Soleil. There, along with teaching circus arts to the resort guests, she trained a variety of disciplines including flying trapeze, bungee trapeze, and multiple aerial apparatuses.
Laura is available for hire and happy to travel/move as necessary for contracts.
