Laura Oakley

Laura Oakley is a circus artist, based in Aotearoa New Zealand, who specializes in hula hoops. Her fast paced performances blend elements of traditional and contemporary circus - not to mention sass and strength!  She is passionate about making high quality multi hoop acts that blend object manipulation and juggling.  She loves nothing more than entertaining an audience and challenging their perceptions of what is possible with hula hoops.

Circus has taken her to the USA, Mexico, Australia and around New Zealand with various companies. Performance highlights include World of Wearable Arts, Highlight Carnival of Lights, Circus Quirkus and the San Diego International Fringe Festival. Laura is also a co-founder of local circus company, Inverted Citizens.
