Hi, I am a Wellington based aerial performer specialising in trapeze. I am the founder of "Raucaus Productions" a performance company producing shows that merge circus and theatre. My training is from New Zealands highest school of circus performance, Te Auaha, with a circus aerial performance major under Rosalie Ducharme (Cirque du soleil). I also specialise in spanish web. Some of my trapeze performances include the following shows - ‘Arabian nights’ (2018); ‘Pulse’ (2019); ‘Behind the Yellow Door’ (2019); and ‘We Are’ Cabaret in which I showcase my spanish web and trapeze solos (2019). "Marco, Polo and Little Margaret" (2021) Fringe Festival NZ
I have worked by contract for many years as a stilt walker, using my own 1m high peg stilts. I have toured Hong Kong and Australasia with Empress Stilt Dance, and worked a range of corporate and community based events with World of Wearable Arts, Kiss the Ground productions, and Dust Palace.
I'm excited by the inclusivity of circus and love to share my passion for circus with others. I am committed to growing and supporting the circus community in Aotearoa which I do through my work as a circus trainer and through my performance outreach. I have recently been experimenting with my dance and ground performance skills, working with others in the Wellington Inclusive Dance Company and Wellington Fringe Festival.
I am a strong base in adagio and duo trapeze. Being 6 foot tall, I don't often get to fly but I am a very capable flier and I love it when I get this opportunity.
Other skills I can offer are
Aerials: Corde Lisse, silks, lyra, chinese pole.
Ground: Hand balance, fire dancing, roller skating.
I love building strength and enjoy teaching Circus Fit and circus body tutorials. I get a great sense of satisfaction in my work creating and coaching personalised training programmes that teach people to use their bodies with efficiency and progress to achieve their goals.
I am looking for employment opportunities at home and abroad, and am particularly interested in performance work that pushes the boundaries between circus and theatre. I am also interested in residencies, teaching opportunities, and tours.
