Hello!
I am a lifelong lover of movement, music, the arts, sustainable design and teaching. I graduated in 2020 from the national circus school of Montreal as a specialist in Tight-wire and a minor in Parkour-Acro-Dance and have since worked with GOP Variety Theater in Germany, Cirque Éloize, performed with Young Stage Festival, performed during the pandemic with my own collective La Quadrature in: the Montreal Completely Circus Festival, Saint Johns Circus Festival and Festival FAR and traveled to Guadeloupe for a 10 day social circus intensive in association with La Tohu, among other circus related work and adventures.
I love the circus arts because they allow creators to combine many diverse forms into one medium, all while keeping risk and suspension of belief front and center.
While Tight-Wire is my primary discipline I am a strong generalist with a solid background in men's artistic gymnastics where I competed in all 6 events as well as in parkour where I trained with BASE Fitness for 6 years before traveling to Montreal. I love turning my environment into my canvas no matter where I find myself. Combining high-flying acrobatics with expressive movement and fluidity is my favorite thing to do. I can also port and fly basic movements in Hand to Hand and Banquine. Trampoline is also something I love to do and am capable of medium to high difficulty movements on an Olympic bed. I am a quick learner and love to be placed in situations where I need to learn and invent in short order.
In addition to my acrobatic experience I have also been a musician for the past 19 years and have had the pleasure of playing live music, both my own compositions and interpretations of pre-written music, in many of my performances. Guitar (electric and acoustic) and voice are my specialty but I also play basic piano, understand the basic principles of drumming and am quick to pick up new instruments.
I have also been teaching for the last 13 years, ranging from recreational gymnastics courses for small children and adults to high level, preprofessional courses at the national circus school of Montreal. Teaching and mentoring is one of my passions, I love helping students get in touch with their deepest capacities and lean into their artistic visions. I always want to pass on what I have learned and help open others up to their own amazing potential any chance I get.
Thank you!
