Jeff Raz has performed with many circuses (Cirque du Soleil, Pickle Family Circus, Make*A*Circus, etc.) and theaters (Lincoln Center, Berkeley Repertory, Marin Shakespeare, The Goodman, The Guthrie, etc.). He is a graduate of Dell’Arte International, has written 15 plays, and directed dozens of circus and theater productions. He cofounded Vaudeville Nouveau in 1982, the S.F. New Vaudeville Festival in 1985, The Clown Conservatory in 2000 and the Medical Clown Project in 2010. His first book, "The Secret Life of Clowns" (secretlifeofclowns.com) was launched nationally at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on July 4, 2017. His second book, "The Snow Clown: Cartwheels on the Border Between Us and Them" launch in fall, 2018.
