History
Jasmine studied dance, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and theatre at the McDonald College of Performing Arts, she then went onto training in Spanish Web with Nat Harris at Five Dock Leisure Centre and trained herself in Contortion before running away with the circus.
She began her performing career doing street performance at Circular Quay in Sydney and performing in events with Performance Art Workshop.
During her time at University, Jasmine performed Duo Contortion with another young artist Melanie Stephen’s and became the Variety act for Venezuelan singer Venus Del Rio performing in events throughout Queensland.
Jasmine later toured the world as a contortionist, acrobat, aerialist and dancer with both classical and contemporary shows including Tihany Spectacular, Circo de los Hermanos Vazquez, Zero Gravity Circus, Cirque Sublime, Fuentes Gasca, Mexican International Circus etc.
Jasmine opened Gala Entertainment Management in 2005, which quickly grew to one of the world’s largest entertainment agencies for circus artists, dancers and musicians.
Jasmine founded & directed the Australian Institute of Circus Arts and directed the Coffs Harbour PCYC Rhythmic Gymnastics Club from 2007-2010.
In 2009 Jasmine began working on social circus projects in Ethiopia, with an aim to develop the young Ethiopian Circus Performers through providing free workshops, mentoring, costuming, skill development and apparatus donations in Addis Ababa and Mekelle in the Tigray region. A big focus of this project was protecting Ethiopian circus artists from human slavery on contracts through education and providing them with tailor made acts to fit into large scale, reputable shows and helping them obtain these contracts through Jasmines network.
From this program Jasmine and her former husband Marco Moreno created Ethiopia’s first Russian Bar act with the flyer Emmanuel performing a triple somersault on the bar. Other notable artists to come out of this program was Moulin Rouge’s contortionist Rich Metiku, Oracle’s Soliana Erse and Circus 1903’s Senayt Asefa.
Jasmine now continues this project with Sosina Wogayehu and is currently developing Ethiopia’s first static circus building “Circus Center” in Entoto Park, Addis Ababa.
In late 2010 after juggling running the circus school and her shows and events in Asia, she decided to leave the school to her ex-husband Marco Moreno and make a move to Asia to focus on Co-Directing R Empire & Gala Entertainment in Macau and Singapore with Heidi Haines Poulton.
The pair creative directed and produced shows, high-end corporate events and contracted artists for City of Dreams Casino, Le Arc Casino, Costa Cruises, Sands Casino, Hard Rock Hotel Macau, Venetian Casino Macau, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Dragone, Resorts World Sentosa Singapore, Cubic Nightclub Macau and was Talent & PR Manager for Asia's largest entertainment & nightlife company at the time; LifeBrandz PTE LTD/Cannery Leisure (Asian divisions; Cafe Del Mar, Ministry of Sound, Zirca Megaclub, Aquanova).
During her time in Asia Jasmine was the VIP List Manager for Hard Rock Hotel and Sheraton Hotel and in her spare time wrote Entertainment and Travel articles for Macau Closer Magazine.
In 2011 Jasmine was the Competition Organiser and Talent Buyer for the Macao City Fringe Festival. Jasmine also creative directed the 2011 seasons of Cirque Medrano, Cirque St Petersburg and Le Grand Cirque Sur L’eau in France.

Jasmine returned to Australia in 2013 where she became the founding director of the Australian Circus Festival, the worlds first multi-genre festival focusing on uniting the contemporary, classical, social, fringe and community circus genres.
The festival worked in a similar format to European circus festivals with Show A and B for professional artists, but also catered for beginners to advanced artists by holding alongside the competition, forums and workshops.
Upon her return to Australia Jasmine spent many years heading the circus program for Performance Art Western Sydney.
From 2013-2015 Jasmine directed the Full Time Circus Diploma for Lee Academy in Tuggerah and ran classes in aerial, acrobatics, contortion and physical theatre.
From 2013-2022 she has been creating boutique acts for Europe's circuses, varieties and cabarets with her company J.S. Creations, teaching her private classes and workshops at Sydney Schools; Umbilico, Integral Aerial Movement Society and Sydney Trapeze School.
Since 2019 Jasmine has held her place as a director of the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque (World Circus Federation) Under the Patronage and Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco.
Assisting the federation’s goals with the UNESCO project, bringing together the stakeholders of the circus industry, and with the steering committee running the Global Alliance of Circus Schools.
2018-2020 Jasmine taught classes and workshops for Swoop Physical Theatre in Sydney, Australia.
In February 2021 Jasmine was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Jury of the Australian Circus Festival for her contribution to the Circus industry.
In 2022 Jasmine teamed up with Aurelia Cats, Nina Araya, Daniel Burrow and Kristian Kristof, spearheading the SOS Ukraine Circus Project where the they and their team of helpers aided 294 students and close to 100 adult performers to be guided safely out of Ukraine, find accomodation, work, and continue their circus education in circus schools around the world. The students were made up mostly from the Kyiv Academy of Circus and Variety Arts and various smaller schools from Kyiv and Kharkiv.
Jasmine’s Gofundme campaign for Ukrainian Circus students raised $22,632AUD to aid the circus schools to support their Ukrainian students in Europe and Australia. Over $26,000AUD has been sent to these schools to date.
Outside the GoFundMe campaign Jasmine has raised $14,000 to support accomodation for 3 of the Kyiv Academy of Circus and Variety arts students for 9 months in Bateau Bay, NSW.
Jasmine also raised financial and in-kind donations for food, clothing, legal, visa, transport, and medical support for 4 Ukrainian performing artists based in Australia (3 in Tuggerah and 1 in Sydney). Jasmine continues to work on this project closely with Nina Araya, the Deputy Director of the Kyiv Academy of Circus And Variety Arts.
In 2024 Jasmine founded the Oceania Circus Guild, which is dedicated to obtaining Intangible Heritage Listings for Circus Arts in the Oceania region.
Her graduates of J.S. Creations have gone onto having successful careers in companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Dragone, Roncalli, Friedrichsbau Variete, G.O.P variety, Circus Krone, Circus FlicFlac, Grégory Knie’s OhLaLa, Wintergarten Variety, Salto Natale, Noel en Cirque, Palazzo Dinner Theatre, Moulin Rouge, Arlette Gruss, Gran Cirque Nadal Girona, and G.O.P. Variete and more.

Jasmine was nominated for Best Choreographer/Creative director for the International Circus Masters Awards in Sochi, Russia 2015, where her student Amy Nash was also nominated for Top 5 Best International Female Act.
In 2016, her student Emma Lonard won the Grand Prix Award and won Best Choreography.
