Hi and greetings to all you wonderful circus enthusiasts.
I'm a professional fire performer from Poland, Cracow. Working also with physical acting, dance, acrobatics, and aerials.
On an additional note, I'm also a rigger - IRATA certified rope access technician.
Switching to movement teaching from computer science, and having a years-long passion for physical arts, I took every opportunity that presented itself, to further my passions and to strive for more ambitious goals. For many years I was strongly grounded in the local movement/parkour/gymnastic communities, before experiencing theater and dance that guided me into a professional career.
I'm most proud of my fire show skills, being comfortable on any stage with poi, staff, staff juggling, contact staff and dragon, ropes, swords, dart ropes, meteors and mixing it all with fire breathing, pyrotechnics, breakdance, and martial arts acrobatics. This in itself makes an exciting show to watch. My vast repertoire of props is self-made and customized for personal needs, battle-tested in group and solo acts, as a street performance, sideshow and main act on a big stage, both in theatrical and circus setting.
Despite loving all my wonderful props, I can't get by without intense manipulation of the body itself. Working on my aerial (straps, silks), dance (breakdance, contemporary), movement (parkour, gymnastics) skills - this gives me a wide range of tools to choose from when it comes to theatrical shows, street performing and variety acts.
My recent employment and most valuable experience were for a polish company: Magic Story On Ice. We collaborated in an over 40 people team to create an unforgettable viewing experience of figure skating, fire show, aerial acrobatics, and physical comedy. My role spanned from collaborating on choreographies and props development, through acting, acrobatics, and fire show performance and finishing with rigging responsibilities (on stadium-size ice-skating halls) for aerial acts.
Here to hoping that our paths will cross in most fortunate circumstances!
Best regards.
Jan.
