Heels Over Head is a Circus/Variety show founded with the principle of giving physical theatre performers a space to explore and expose new material to supportive and enthusiastic audiences.
For 3 years, we have been a hub for new Chicago dance, clown, circus, burlesque, mime and more. We have sparked and seen the creation of innovative physical theatre, the forming of ensembles and performance collaborations, and the spread of immeasurable joy.
Each month Heels Over Head brings together performers from all different types of physical storytelling: from clown, to physical theatre, dance, circus, puppetry,, vaudeville, and physical improv and sketch. Each show is inspired by a different genre to help generate fun, original work.
