Georgina Ilona Cassels is a contemporary circus artist specialised in aerial arts. Based in Budapest, Hungary and working as a freelance aerial performer and teacher, Georgina Ilona has experience in corporate and special events with Circus Suburbia (UK), and Firebirds Productions (HU). Georgina Ilona is in collaboration with Gaia Santuccio, together they are the founders of RollMeKnot, a contemporary aerial rope duo. Georgina Ilona uses aerial rope as a way of artistic expression and development, creating a physical language in the air, she has a timeless look and quality of movement whilst on any aerial apparatus. Georgina Ilona began training aerial dance at the age of 13 with Zu Aerial Dance and Hightop Circus in Brighton and participated in a number of theatre productions throughout her growing up. Georgina Ilona graduated with a Foundation Degree in Circus Arts from the National Centre For Circus Arts, London in 2015 specialising in aerial discipline static cloud under instruction of Katharine Arnold and Rita van Opzeeland. Georgina continued her training at Gravity Circus Centre on the Professional Programme in 2017 where she focused on rope led by Fyn Neb to achieve a more dynamic and fluid quality of movement. Since, Georgina Ilona has taught a range of aerial disciplines at a number of studios across the UK and Europe such as Gravity Circus Centre, The Palestinian Circus School, Aircraft Circus, Aerial Gymnastics London, Flying Fantastic, Hightop Circus, My Aerial Home, Aerial Silk Vienna and Inspiral Circus Centre. To date, Georgina Ilona completed The Aerial Movement Level 1 with Gabriel Tramullas.
