Circus performer(Tightwire, Juggling)
Hello,
My name is Finn and I'm a London based Circus performer currently in the last year of the degree course at the National Centre for Circus Arts (NCCA).
I specialise in Tightwire and Juggling (also violin), Sometimes on their own, and sometimes together.
Journey so far:
I started out by doing Youth Circus: Cirque Nova, Airborne Circus, London Youth Circus
Then I moved on to BTEC courses: NCCA, Circomedia
I then moved back to London to do the BA in circus arts at the national centre for circus arts.
Now I am directing circus and performing as a Juggler while studying towards a Masters degree in directing circus at Circomedia
Style:
Adaptations of old school circus tricks like: Combination Juggling, spinning rings on the wire and sometimes even some gentleman juggling tricks.
The work I like to create tends to be very character based and theatrical, however It's usually very strictly choreographed especially on the wire, comedy also often plays a big role.
Out of the main three juggling props, balls are definitely my preferance.
Notable Performances:
The Royal Albert hall (One Young World opening ceremony 2019 Juggling)
The Tate Modern (Jerome Bels GALA -contemporary dance piece)
Desparu Theatre: Waiting for a Storm (Family show in Cornwall)
Orchestral Tour of schools in Peru
RWA Gallery (Circus life model)
2012 Olympic torch relay (Hula Hoop)
Lucky Pigeons(Directing,writing,performing)
Directing:
I'm currently the Creative director/co-founder of the contemporary circus company: Brainfools.
My directing style is loud, silly and over the top, organised chaos.
I take inspiration from the methods of Robert Lepage and Antonin Artaud.
