Creat_Circ

The association "CREAT Formación y Creación en Artes Circenses" (CREAT Formation & Creation in Scene Arts) began in July 2020 with the aim of contributing to the professionalization of the circus arts in the Valencian Community in Spain. We articulate this objective in two major areas, training and support for company professionals or in the process of professionalization.

We have many activities, thanks to the work which was carried out during the year 2020, prior to the constitution of the Entity and the coverage of a large ship in the city of Valencia (11 meters high, 42 m2).
Immersed in the professional circus sector for several years, the CREAT team are Roseta Plasencia, Pablo Meneu, Melina Melamina, Eleonora Gronchi, Pablo Aguilar and Juan Catalan.

 We offer regular classes and a Profesional Formation 1st and 2nd year, which at the end of the classes will performed with their owns acts in a show. 

In addition to offering regular training in circus techniques, the CREAT team seeks to generate circulation of national and international artists and professionals in the city of Valencia. To do this, it proposes the organization of workshops with renowned guest artists. The aim of these workshops, in addition to complementing the training for our students, is to generate networks with local artists, hold professional meetings, training for circus artist, and creation and research workshops.

Intensive workshops are focused not only on technical areas but also on other aspects such as reflection on new writing in the circus world, European influences, aesthetic and contemporary guidelines, and new trends.
The participation of guest teachers / artists in our residences is encouraged, so that the space can also be generated to share work samples, feedbacks and creation processes ...

For the fourth quarter of 2020, we have scheduled 3 international intensives.

Trapeze, Silks, straps, Aerial-hoop, Juggling, Acrobatics, Acrodance, Trampoline, Aerial Rope, Chinese Pole, Hand Balance (Handstands), Hand to Hand/Banquines.

* Complementary techniques:

Physical Theater, Act Creation, Choreographic Composition, Clown, Singing.
