Mission - Shaping tomorrows circus Vision- As the umbrella organisation for youth circus in the UK, we shape the future of circus by inspiring, empowering and advocating for youth circus organisations to deliver exceptional work for and by young people, leading to a more integrated circus world. We provide training, resources, & events, to connect organisations and to engender partnerships and good practice locally, nationally and internationally. Aims We will: • Lead the sector and be a voice for circus with young people nationally and internationally. • Champion circus with young people within the wider arts community • Support youth circus leaders, performers, trainers, support staff and volunteers on all levels, and at whatever stage in their careers or businesses to be the best that they can be. • Encourage children and young people, regardless of ability, to participate in and be inspired by circus and achieve their ambitions • Ensure that excellence is thriving and celebrated in youth circus • Encourage the coming together of all aspects of the circus community for the mutual benefit of the sector as a whole • Help youth circus organisations to be sustainable • Actively ‘green circus deserts’- encourage circus activity in places where none currently exists • Actively encourage research into the benefits of circus
