CircusMASH began in 2011. Why? Because Birmingham needed it. Circus sparks imagination, and by it’s very definition it brings people together from all walks of life and this is exactly how CircusMASH has grown to become the amazing organisation it is today. Community has come together. It wasn’t long after starting we noticed that everybody wanted circus in their lives, and as we continued to learn about the wealth of benefits learning and being part of a circus community provide, we realised that circus is another word for education and it is this that pushes our boundaries every day. From a seed planted in the beginning, Birmingham now has a thriving circus community with other organisations implementing circus through their work, as well as artists residing in the region to help to make the future a better place.
