Ciara defies expectations in extraordinary ways, she has a knack for turning the mundane into the astonishing. With her unique skills and character work, Ciara entices audiences to connect and enter into a world of absurdity.

Oh hey, I'm Ciara. I'm a generalist - a juggler, a character performer, handstander, an MC & Street Performer ...but mostly I'm a Clown. I even have a piece of paper *bachelor of Circus Arts (specialising in Clown, Chair Balancing and Pass Juggling) to prove it. But more importantly, experience. I might look young, but I'm 36 - and we all know clowns get better with age. I'm right in the sweet spot.
My passion lies in filling in the cracks most performers avoid - CONNECTING and interacting with the audience. Getting amongst the seats, up on tables, surprising and delighting guests with my range of skills with everyday objects (I'm talking magic with cigarettes, handstanding on wine bottles, eating fire from the candle-lit table, balancing a chair on my face... etc). You name it, I've got the skill to go with it. That's what a generalist, and a clown does, right? I create the intimate & UNIQUE experience your audience is craving, and I love adapting it to the character and show that I'm a part of. I am the audience activation, the distraction, the interaction, the comedy, the delight, that your show thrives on.

This quote was taken from a short poem written by Erin Hanson. This resonates with me as an artist and performer, constantly I am taking risks and learning not to second guess the pursuit of my dreams. Growing up, I don’t remember a time that I was ‘normal’. Today as a variety performer/generalist, I pride myself on not fitting into any boxes. I am a mixed bag of skills, creativity and adaptable qualities.
