The trust needed for an acrobatic due to risk performing blindfolded, exploring their hand to hand skills, a technique that relies precisely on visual contact. The faith of a man and a woman who reveal their intimacy to the audience, without exploiting their weaknesses, fears, vanity and virtues. The couple Carlos Cosmai and Marina Bombachini face these challenges and more in Íntimo, the first adult show by the LaMala company.
Together since 2005, the duo conceived the performance to investigate what sensibility and partnership two artists need when they take the stage without apparatuses, exploring and expanding the research of their key skill. “We felt compelled to unveil and expose the vulnerability in each of us, as human as the audience, to write poetry in movement, convergence and divergence, showcasing our skills without highlighting virtuosity, but rather the subtlety of the gaze, the spontaneity of a smile, the grunts when you try over and over until you make it”, says Marina. Music performed live by a pianist intensifies the dramatic dimension of this encounter. -
