Chad is a dual-certified Athletic Therapist/Athletic Trainer in both Canada and the United States, with over 25 years of experience in the profession. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Chad currently works as a consulting contractor for Cirque du Soleil, serving as their Performance Medicine Head Therapist for touring shows and providing coverage for artists on multiple productions. Over the past 15 years with the company, Chad toured full-time for 10 of those years and has worked on 11 different Cirque du Soleil productions operating in more than 60 cities worldwide.
Chad also serves as the Director of Shipboard Operations for Next Stage Performance Medicine in Orlando, Florida, which provides Athletic Training services aboard four cruise ships with Virgin Voyages. When in Halifax, he operates a mobile, in-home concierge Athletic Therapy service for individuals in the area, as well as high-profile entertainers touring through the city.
Traveling the world has provided Chad with unique opportunities to connect and guest lecture at institutions across multiple continents, while also participating in knowledge exchanges with medical staffs from the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, UFC, NCAA, English Premier League, and Australian Rules Football. He has also worked with and treated competitors from American Ninja Warrior.
Prior to his work with Cirque du Soleil and Next Stage Performance Medicine, Chad spent 12 years in Virginia, USA, working in the university sports medicine setting. During that time, he worked with student-athletes from all varsity sports at both Division I and Division III institutions while also serving as a preceptor for graduate students.
