The CMC was inaugurated on November 16th, 2009, at the Olido Gallery, with the mission of gathering, preserving, researching,
and broadcasting the memory and culture material and immaterial of the circus. It is located in the most important historical site
of the Brazilian circus, Largo do Paissandu, in the city of São Paulo. The founding of CMC was linked to the Municipal Secretary
of Culture s Department of Historical Patrimony, part of the Municipality of São Paulo . -
