Anna Hermanson

Anna “A” Hermanson is a circus artist and actor currently based in Chicago. Insatiably curious with the firm belief that anything can be an apparatus, they specialize in aerial hoop, cyr wheel, and dad jokes.

Anna began their circus journey with the goal of making the heightened-texts of Shakespeare more accessible by embodying the stories in a way that transcends language. They have their BFA in Acting with a minor in dance from Viterbo University and studied under Raye Birk at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. 

They completed the Professional Training Program at The Actor’s Gymnasium, and recently finished Aloft Circus Art’s Professional Training Program.

Their work is deliberate, tender, and playful with a keen emphasis on collaboration.
