Alisa (they/them) is an aerialist, dancer, and coach. Alisa flies on aerial straps, dance trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hoop, chains, hammock, bungee/harness, as well as custom-designed apparatuses. They have been accepted into the Cirque Du Soleil database.
Alisa is currently based in NY and performs aerial regularly at venues such as The Box NYC, The Slipper Room, and Duane Park, and has performed at Secret Loft NYC, The Muse, and House of Yes. They also regularly perform at corporate gigs and weddings and own a lollipop lyra.
Alisa is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a specialty in corrective exercise, and currently teaches teaches aerial and flexibility at Vital Climbing Gym and Body&Pole. Alisa also taught aerial at The Muse Brooklyn and The Muse Gowanus and has taught ballet, modern, and jazz dance.
Alisa has traveled the world performing as an aerialist/dancer for cruise-ships, theme-parks, national and international tours.
Alisa worked for Royal Caribbean Productions on the Legend of the Seas and the Splendour of the Seas where they travelled around Central and South America, the Mediterranean, Asia, and Australia (2014-2016). They worked for Cirque Dreams performing the role of Mrs. Claus in the Holidaze U.S. and Canada tour (2016). Alisa was a featured dancer/acrobat in Roll Out the Barrel at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia (2015), and toured international dance festivals in Burkina Faso performing and teaching aerial with RudduR Dance (2015).
Prior to their international adventures, Alisa had obtained a B.F.A. in Dance and a B.A. in English from New York University. After graduating, Alisa spent a few years performing with dance companies in New York including Grounded Aerial (also served as Assistant Choreographer), Racoco Productions, Timelapse Dance, and General Mischief Dance Theater. They performed a wide range of dance forms including contemporary, musical theater style jazz, experimental dance-theater, ballet, and ballroom at venues such as Broadway Bares, Roseland Theater, Studio 54, Paramount Hotel, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Joyce Soho, Danspace Project, Vassar College and La Mama in New York as well as and the Spring of Culture Festival in Manama, Bahrain. Alisa was also the Artistic Director and choreographer of their own contemporary dance company, Fingerprints Projects.
