Adam Marris

I come from an engineering and rock climbing background and was immediately drawn to circus arts and aerial straps for their elegant simplicity and rawness. I also gravitated to partner acrobatics for the playful collaboration. ​I have been training and performing for roughly 5 years, primarily on straps and partner acrobatics but am also versed in Rola Bola, Juggling, Stilt walking and many other skills.

I ran away from my engineering job, eager to go back to being able to play and begin exploring the artistic and physical realm of contemporary circus. Circus, for me, is a great blend of playful exploration and technical skill that allows me to push the boundaries of my comfort and bring the audience along for a ride. 

I currently work on the technical side of circus with Crew That, a specialized staffing company that assists Cirque du Soleil and Big Apple Circus with city to city transfers. I love all of circus, it's magical.
