Historical
Cirque lumière d'Afrique is an artistic group founded by Osah Evans from the capital Accra in Ghana. Fanatic of arts and cultures, he decides to train in juggling and acrobatics in particular the juggling of rather ordinary instruments such as basins, seals, boxes etc. …. With this art he quickly stood out as he was selected for a six-month tour in China where he met artists from various horizons. This opens his mind to the creativity and pairings of traditional African dances with juggling and acrobatics to give another visual taste of the show.
Wanting to discover other horizons and to continue to experiment the field of his choice, he decides to come to Ivory Coast where he meets the internationally renowned artistic group Munlato with whom he also receives another additional training. on dance and percussion.
His accomplished training, Osah, becomes even more remarkable for his talent on the stage, will be spotted by artistic directors of circuses who will make him highlight his art on a series of endless tours on the five continents.
This discovery of the world makes the artist want to create a circus school to teach his knowledge and create one of the largest artistic schools in Africa. It was selected from children who love art and in particular disadvantaged children to give them expertise and give them a taste for life.
This being the artistic group Cirque Lumière D’afrique was born in 2009 with the discipline taught, traditional dance, juggling and acrobatics. It is full of young people of different nationalities from Africa such as Burkinabés, Ghanaians, Ivorians, Sierra Leoneans, Malians, Tanzanians and others.
These young people will not only learn, through contact with their mentor, the techniques and principles of juggling and acrobatics, but thanks to this concentration and hard work, there have been the creations of new spectacular figures and disciplines, especially the contortionist.
