We are looking for an experienced circus trainer with administrative and leadership experience who has a passion for youth circus to join our strategic leadership team. The Training Director works closely with the Executive Director and Artistic Director to guide the strategic vision of Warehouse Circus including; embedding our philosophy for youth circus training across our training program; overseeing the development of new programs for specialised groups; managing training staff including identifying areas for professional development, overseeing the Trainee Trainer program; working to meet the training needs of participants across all programs and; working with our Education Officer to pioneer our vision for circus in education in Canberra.

It is an exciting time at Warehouse Circus. We’ve experienced continued growth for the last seven years in all areas and are about to embark on a new strategic planning cycle which will build on our strengths in community outreach and disability programming, education and creating career paths for emerging artists. The ideal applicant could hit the ground running in both delivery of classes and in strategic planning and HR management. They would have a broad knowledge of circus training and at least one area of specialist skill and have a range of experiences working in a youth circus context. They would also be a charismatic leader, imaginative and inspiring to work with, be excited to work as part of a close-knit team, and excited by new directions for circus training and performance including cross-art form collaboration.
