Description:DESCRIPTIONThe hit comedy, DRUNK SHAKESPEARE, is hiring stage managers in Washington DC! We are looking for savvy professionals to join our team of multi-talented stage management support staff. We would love someone who can cover stage management AND assistant management roles. We foster an incredibly fun environment in the style of a secret society & speakeasy. We strive to provide patrons with a unique and memorable experience. This is an opportunity to be part of an incredible experience. Candidates must have weekend and holiday availability. Weekday shifts will run approximately 5:30pm-10:00pm Weekend shifts can vary, with staff working 4-7 hours between 3:30pm and 12am This is a full-time position. While we look for candidates with backgrounds in theatre production, from pre-show like setting props and tech checks, to show duties such as running cues, wardrobe changes, and acting as a back-up for manager by learning administrative duties, directly interfacing with patrons and scheduling other staff. Management experience is highly preferred and creative experience in the theatre industry is a plus, as well as passion for the industry and a fast-paced production environment with many moving parts. All employees must be 21+ and vaccinated against COVID-19. Compensation: $1,150 per week, with the opportunity to train across management duties and eligible for additional hours for administrative duties and gaining industry experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Employee is designated as the Assistant Manager (“AM”). As AM, Employee agrees to: 1. Render such services as are usually associated with the term “Assistant Manager” a. This includes delegating tasks to others as required b. Tech needs throughout the show 2. Serve as the legal representative of the Employer, which may include but is not limited to: a. Adjusting schedules b. Canceling performances c. Hiring/firing/removing staff d. Disciplining staff e. Overseeing venue operations and maintenance f. Serving as the Manager on Duty (“MOD”) from time to time 3. Ensure the safety of operations, staff, and patrons, which may include but is not limited to: a. Managing emergency situations b. Managing and removing belligerent or inappropriate patrons c. Managing staff illness or injury d. Calling emergency services 4. Ensure 5-star patron experience, which may include but is not limited to: a. Monitoring and noting performance quality as outlined in Quality Guidelines and the Core Script b. Managing patron issues or complaints c. Comping drinks to patrons d. Refunding patrons 5. Objectively report any issues 6. Maintain necessary certifications and training, which may change from time to time. Employer will pay for all necessary training and licensing fees, and may publicly display certifications, which may include the Employee's name and/or image, in conspicuous locations in the venue. Certifications may include: a. Safe alcohol service certification b. Food protection manager certification c.
