Description:Touring Stage Manager's Solstice: A Winter Circus ExperienceCompany: Circus EVO Touring Region: 5 States (NC, GA, OK, KS, IL) Contract Dates: Mid-February to Mid-March 2026 About the Production Solstice: A Winter Circus Experience is an original contemporary circus show blending acrobatics, theatre, and live music. After multiple sold-out performances, Solstice will embark on its first multi-city regional tour in early 2025. We are seeking a dedicated Stage Manager to join our touring team and help ensure each performance runs seamlessly from start to finish. Position Summary The Stage Manager will be responsible for coordinating all backstage and front-of-house operations during the tour, maintaining clear communication across departments, and ensuring the show runs smoothly at every venue. This individual should be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of lighting, sound, and acrobatic disciplines is considered a strong asset. Key Responsibilities Fulfill the general duties of a Production Stage Manager, ensuring professional standards and clear communication at all times. Respect and ensure the protection of the physical property of the production and venues. Maintain and update contact information for all cast, crew, and production staff. Organize additional meetings or rehearsals as needed with cast, production, and venue teams. Provide and maintain documentation and paperwork to ensure future remounts of the show are possible. Coordinate the organization and operation of backstage areas, front-of-house, and other key spaces. Be present at all performances to call cues, manage pre-show calls, and oversee performer warmups. Ensure that each performance is properly filmed from the booth. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in discussion with the Show Producer. Qualifications + Assets Previous experience as a Stage Manager, ideally in touring, live performance, or circus environments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to new venues and technical environments. Knowledge or experience working with acrobatic disciplines is a strong asset. Basic understanding of lighting and sound systems is an asset. Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and collaborative spirit. Must be available to travel with the tour during January; February 2025. Compensation Per Show Fee based on Experience. Travel, lodging, and per diem will be provided.
