Description:Bassline Circus and Full Tilt Aerial are seeking 9 interdisciplinary performers with specialisms across circus, physical theatre, and dance, for a new large-scale and spectacular co-production for Devizes International Street Theatre Festival. 'Ceres' is a local re-telling of the tale of a poor farming widow, coloured with influences from ancient rituals and traditions. We are looking for a mixture of specialist acts capable of re-working material in an ensemble setting and strong ensemble performers with specialisms/training in any of the following circus theatre disciplines;Clown Peg stilt walking Banquine Aerial dance/harness Acrobatic tumbling Partner acrobatics and hand to hand. Handbalance Chinese pole Hair hang Acting & Physical Theatre Rehearsals will take place during a seven-day residential in Newbury, at 101 Outdoor Arts creation space. The cast will work together on-site in Devizes from 29th April - 1st May. Rehearsals 18th - 24th April Technical day onsite 29th April Show days 30th April & 1st May Please only make an application if you are available for these dates. Workshop auditions will be held by invitation only on Wednesday the 16th of February at Unit 15 creation space in Bristol, BS2 0RA. This is a paid opportunity at ITC/Equity rates; travel, accommodation, and subsistence provided.
