Description:Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly experienced Production Manager to lead the delivery of the artistic team's vision for RSC productions and events. We are looking for a highly experienced Production Manager to lead the delivery of the artistic team's vision for RSC productions and events. Based in Stratford-upon-Avon, you will manage the safety, sustainability, schedules, budgets, and resources on productions across three theatres, from the intimate performances in https://www.rsc.org.uk/your-visit/the-other-place - The Other Place, through to large scale shows in the https://www.rsc.org.uk/your-visit/royal-shakespeare-theatre - Royal Shakespeare Theatre. You will also have opportunities to work beyond Stratford as part of our programme of work in London, national touring and beyond. You will be working collaboratively and cross departmentally with highly skilled colleagues, including in-house specialist teams at our https://www.rsc.org.uk/about-us/how-we-make-theatre/making-scenery - scenic and https://www.rsc.org.uk/about-us/how-we-make-theatre/costume - costume workshops and stage operations departments. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 44 hours per week, across six days Monday through to Sunday with evening and weekend work required. The Royal Shakespeare Company (no. 212481) is a registered charity. Job Requirements Significant experience of managing large-scale productions to the highest technical and artistic standards. Strong experience in budget setting, monitoring and controlling. The ability to resolve short- and long-term production challenges efficiently and effectively. Strong IT and CAD skills, with the ability to draw and interpret ground plans. A sound understanding of risk assessment procedures and health and safety legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with a strong collaborative working style, especially working under pressure and to tight deadlines. A commitment to fostering an inclusive culture and respect in the workplace. Job Responsibilities Managing the production process from design through to delivery on stage. Building strong working relationships with creative, production and producing teams. Ensuring productions meet Theatre Green Book baseline standards. Overseeing efficient management of fit-ups, technical rehearsals, get-outs and touring logistics. Leading and chairing key design and production meetings and ensuring technical plans are distributed. Ensuring productions are delivered within budget and resources. Promoting a safe working culture by ensuring compliance with CDM, risk assessments and safe working practices.
