Overview
The Lighting Design Group, (LDG) www.ldg.com, an internationally recognized broadcast and entertainment lighting design firm in New York City, seeks an experienced Production Assistant. This position is responsible for office reception duties, tracking shipments and vendor invoicing, booking staff travel/lodging as well as assisting with day-to-day Production and Equipment Department administrative tasks as assigned.

LDG is a leader in its industry and values its direct relationships among its designers, production team and freelance crew. We leverage this to provide the best broadcast lighting design and installation services for top broadcast networks worldwide. The Production Assistant is an important member of our in-house production team.

Reports to:
VP of Production Services

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Office reception duties: answering phones, receiving deliveries, keeping office supplies stocked etc.
Assisting EQ Manager with shipping, receiving, tracking of packages
Tracking shared office vendor invoicing
Booking staff travel and lodging
Assisting with day-to-day Production Department administrative tasks: budgeting, invoicing, scheduling etc.
Assisting with LDG’s operational systems in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:

Strong work ethic; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; outstanding team player.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to “go the extra mile” and proactively offer suggestions to improve workflow.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database software.
Excellent attention to detail.
College degree or equivalent.
This is an in-person position, working at LDG’s NY office or at LDG’s NJ warehouse as directed by the VP of Production Services and Equipment Manager. Salary is commensurate with experience, in the $38,000-$43,000 range, and is eligible for overtime, with prior approval of manager. LDG offers an excellent benefits package after probationary period.
