Description:On July 24, 25, and 26, 2026 , the gates of the Grootseminarie in Bruges will open for Cirque Plus. For three days, artists from Belgium and abroad will take over Bruges' most welcoming garden to showcase their best to a large and diverse audience. Cirque Plus is primarily an open-air circus festival and also aims to be a springboard for emerging circus talent. With Cirque Numerique, we offer new or recent, short, or completed acts a full-fledged place in the festival program.For whom? Circus artists who: Trained at a circus school, trained through a circus workshop, or were self-taught. Being active in all circus disciplines : acrobatics, balancing arts, juggling, clowning, magic, circus theatre, etc. Aerial acrobatics are only permitted if you bring your own gantry or Chinese pole, and if the setup and dismantling are compatible with the other acts. Conditions for participation? Your act is new or recent (creation year 2024 or 2025). You are solo, duo or trio (no groups larger than 3). Your performance should be a finished song and last a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 minutes . The video recording you submit should be a maximum of 12 minutes. Any performance shorter or longer than the specified time will be excluded from the selection. The video recording should be the performance as it will be performed at the festival, preferably outdoors. Suitable for outdoor and cabaret settings . Please be mindful of ambient noise. Quiet, intimate acts are less suitable. You are playing for a Dutch-speaking audience (if you use text, do not use Dutch, keep it limited). You are free on Sunday, July 26, 2026 . You can provide your own equipment and props (aerial acrobatics only if you bring your own porch/mast and rigger). Please note that acts with large sets, where props fall from the sky, or using only lighting are NOT possible. You submit a maximum of 1 act per company/person. What does Cirque Plus offer? A daily allowance of €300 per artist and a flat-rate transport allowance of up to €50 for travel within Belgium or up to €100 for travel abroad. Catering is provided. If absolutely necessary, an overnight stay can be arranged. Please take this fee into account when assessing whether it is worthwhile for you to register. Professional support Playing area of 8x8 m and sound system. All acts will perform once during the day outdoors. Four acts will be included in a cabaret program that airs on Sunday evening. The other two acts will perform a second time in the afternoon. All acts will be played twice on Sunday 26th July. We have an enthusiastic and broad audience and offer networking opportunities with artists and professionals from the circus sector. How to register? The deadline for registration is March 1, 2026. Your video should be at least 5 minutes and no longer than 12 minutes long and should be a recording of the act as you perform it at the festival. The video should be of DIY quality, preferably shot outdoors or in a cabaret setting. You send us the video recording via a link to a YouTube channel or other website. It's NOT a recording we need to download. Those who wish to apply must be available on Sunday, July 26, 2026. The exact time schedule will be announced later. The entries will be judged by the Cirque Plus programming team. The selection will be announced on April 1, 2026.
