Description:Description of the organismThe activities of the French Institute in China are organized around six sectors: audiovisual; artistic; linguistic, educational, and sporting; books and intellectual debate; technical cooperation; and university cooperation. Located in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenyang, the French Institute in China also relies on its network of partners throughout China: Campus France China and the network of Alliance Française branches in China. The French Institute in China is a valuable resource for sharing, dialogue, discovery, and learning in all fields, and particularly in education, academic and scientific exchange, and the arts. Ad description From August 21 to 25, 2026, the 3rd Zhangjiajie International Festival of New Circus will be held. Organized by the China Acrobatics Association and co-organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hunan Provincial Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles, the Hunan Provincial Performing Arts Group, and the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government, it receives support from the French Institute of Hunan. The festival's objectives are to create an international exchange platform, promote contemporary circus and increase its visibility, and encourage and support contemporary circus creation in China. Selection criteria include originality, creativity, and mastery of technique; costume quality (with free choice of theme, duration, and number of participants); and the requirement for all artists to be 18 years of age or older. Submitted creations have no limits on duration or the number of performers on stage. Documents to be submitted (in English or Chinese) : Video formats: MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, FLV; Image formats: JPG, JPEG, resolution ≥ 300 dpi, size ≤ 5 MB; - Presentation of the artists and the proposed work ; - Full HD video of the performance via an internet link ; - If the performance contains text, subtitles must be provided in English or Chinese; - If images or videos are used in the proposed work, they must be submitted in booklet form ; - Technical specifications of the performance and description of the space and requirements; - List of artists and technicians ; - Fee amounts. The submitted video must represent at least 90% of the proposed performance; otherwise, the organization reserves the right not to pay the fees. Festival support, round-trip transportation, accommodation for the duration of the stay, meals, and performance fees .
