Choreographer's Notes:
I am creating a single act for the inaugural month of Cirkus Moxie performances. It's a collaboration with Cirkus Thinkers Alise Bokaldere and Jason Dupree. They have created a beautiful poem, titled "First Poem", that invokes a 'circus of the mind.' I first heard it performed in Lund, Sweden, and now I'm bringing an evolution of it to NYC. The new piece will honor Alise and Jason's intent of creating a mental circus while bringing it to life with subtle live action and theatrical lighting. Individuals with strong handstand skills and/or partnering experience are encouraged to apply. Please send a note of interest and relevant media to: [email protected].

REHEARSALS: Two afternoons between May 30th and June 3rd at mutually convenient times. Each rehearsal 2 - 3 hours. Location TBD.

WEEKLY PERFORMANCES in JUNE: Cirkus Moxie! Wednesdays: June 7, 14, 21, 28 @ 7:30pm.

SINGLE PERFORMANCE: Cirkus Syd's NYC book launch at Brooklyn Art Haus, Saturday, June 17th, 3 - 4:30pm.

All performances will be at Brooklyn Art Haus, 24 Marcy Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

REHEARSAL FEES: $25/ hr per person.

PERFORMANCE FEES: Cirkus Moxie performances are a split of the door with the venue. 70/30 in favor of the artists. Cirkus Syd book launch is a flat fee of $150/act.
