Lighting Director - Ace of Spades

Job Summary:
The Lighting Director is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of lighting equipment at events. Duties include load-in, setup, and breakdown of band and event equipment, as well as adjustments to lighting based on artist or event specifications. The position requires operating lighting control boards, spotlight operations, and programming, as well as ensuring the safe handling of all lighting and A/V equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform load-in and setup of band and rental equipment.

• Focus and adjust lighting to artist or event specifications.

• Operate spotlight, lighting control boards, and program lighting for events.

• Maintain and repair lighting equipment.

• Assist with production needs throughout the venue.

• Ensure the safe and consistent operation of lighting systems.

• Oversee lighting needs for special events.

• Assist audio crew with microphones, stands, cables, and other related needs.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years minimum of Tour or Stage Production experience.

• Knowledge of stage lighting, pro audio systems, and basic video systems.

• Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.

• Superior interpersonal and organizational skills.

• High School Diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College Degree.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.

• Work in environments with moderate to loud noise, extreme lighting changes, strobes, and moving lights.

• Must be able to wear a radio earpiece during the scheduled shift.
