Since its creation in 2015, the Saint-Omer Jaaz Festival, located in Pas-de-Calais, has forged an identity based on three pillars: the variety of jazz styles offered, the prominence of French-speaking musicians, and privileged access for young artists. A further step is taken with the creation of an academy whose aim is to offer extended visibility to young musicians at the start of their career.

For its first edition, three groups will be selected, whose members must be under 30 years old. The selection is made by a jury of jazz specialists. The three selected groups will be invited for three days during the 2026 edition of the Saint-Omer Jaaz Festival, from July 3 to 5, 2026.
