Description:Job SummaryCrossroads live are seeking a Head of Lighting (LX1) for the UK and Ireland touring production of Annie the musical. Touring from May 2026 to March 2027. The Chief Electrician takes responsibility for operating and maintaining all lighting and video equipment and running the touring LX department. Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Chief Electrician is responsible for operating the lighting and video equipment for each performance as instructed by the Lighting Designer and Video Designer including all moving and generic lights and all effects and video. Re-lighting the production at each venue as required along with the production electrician To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required. To attend and operate lighting/video equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as requested by the Stage Manager. To prepare cue sheets and effects lists and provide this information to the Stage Manager. To ensure all equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour. To co-ordinate and supervise the get-out of lighting/video equipment at each venue, and to prepare equipment ready for loading at the end of the run and to assist other departments until the completion of the get-out. To ensure that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order. To run a lamp and projector check prior to each performance. To ensure that any orders for goods or equipment are made on an appropriate purchase order form and approved by the Producer. To provide a carnet for the lighting department for any overseas engagements if required. Attend production meetings, rehearsals, calls and performances. Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company. Any other duties as may be reasonably required in the course of your duties or as instructed by the Producers from time to time.
