Description:
We are recruiting a professional performer for our show team which tours our 3 neighbouring hotels in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain.
Job Role:
- Principal performer in 4 different live production shows (pop/rock/musical theatre styles)
- Lead vocalist in our new musical production for 2022, featuring a live 5 piece band
- Daily rehearsals to ensure high performance standards
- Performance only duties
- 4/5* resorts with purpose built, indoor theatres
Requirements:
- High energy, versatile singer with excellent dance ability
- Mezzo soprano range with a powerful belt to E5 and also a strong head/mix voice.
- Confident in picking up vocal harmonies and experienced in group singing
- Ability to learn and retain choreography at a fast pace
- A versatile performer, comfortable in many styles, with a willingness to develop their abilities
- A professional and mature attitude
- A high level of spoken English
- Passport issued by an EU country (ANY APPLICANTS WITH UK PASSPORTS MUST ALSO HAVE RESIDENCIA/ WORKING RIGHTS IN SPAIN)
Conditions:
- Initial 6 month Spanish contract with possibility to extend to 12 months
- Social security benefits
- Paid holiday entitlement (48 days per year)
- 3 meals per day
- Full uniform
- Monthly salary: 1908€ (gross)
- Accommodation allowance of 210€ per month or the possibility to live in a shared apartment (bills paid separately)
- Contract for 5 days per week with 2 free days
- 8 hours per day
- Private health insurance during working time
Rehearsals will be held in Fuerteventura and will commence in early March. The working contract will start on 1st April. Accommodation and meals are also provided during rehearsal period.
We are looking for a replacement performer for one of our current cast. Therefore the applicant must be: MAXIMUM height 5 ft 4 /162cm and dress size UK 6-12/EU 34-40 (in order to fit into current costumes). The performer must also be a very fast learner in order to pick up shows with a limited rehearsal time.
