Discofoot - is an ass kickin’, DJ spinnin’, maybe even twerkin’ free-styling battle, where the rules of soccer are twisted and thrashed by dance. Conceived by choreographers Petter Jacobsson and Thomas Caley, Discofoot is a hybrid performance uniting sport with dance, utilizing the basic forms, placement and rules of European football (soccer) BUT, with one defining factor. To move and/or travel on the field all are required to dance!

In celebration of the 2026 World Cup, the City of West Hollywood will participate by hosting performances of Discofoot in their “Fan Zone” in West Hollywood Park from June 26-28, 2026. The project is looking for professional contemporary dancers of all gender identities with strong personal performance qualities and experience in a variety of forms and styles. Familiarity with ballet technique and a basic knowledge of soccer is a plus. Most importantly, the ideal candidate is open to making instantaneous creative decisions, generating material, and is comfortable and experienced with improvisation in the creative and performance process.
