Description:Costume Crafts ArtisanChildren’s Theatre Company (CTC) Minneapolis, MN Overview: Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates with a background in millinery, mask making, and basic shoe repair for the position of Costume Crafts Artisan. This is a benefits-eligible position, guaranteed a minimum of 40 weeks of full-time work per season, and is covered under a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE Local 13, AFL-CIO. This position requires expertise in costume accessory creation, sewing techniques, and working with a wide range of materials including fabrics, plastics, leather, and foam. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, skilled in time management, and committed to contributing positively to an anti-racist and anti-bias organization. Position Summary The Costume Crafts Artisan is responsible for producing all costume accessories as designed, including (but not limited to): hats, jewelry, masks, novelty footwear and shoe modifications, gloves, belts, purses, and boot tops. This position works with patterns for contemporary, period, or fantasy pieces for men, women, and children.
