An esteemed dance company is currently seeking project dancers for its significant 20th Anniversary Season, titled 'Through the Dark, The Light Beckons.' Applications from performers in underrepresented communities are highly encouraged. The upcoming season will feature a repertoire revisiting the ensemble's foundational contemporary, modern, and classical styles. We are searching for accomplished dance artists proficient in contemporary, modern, classical ballet, jazz, and various African dance techniques. These roles are for two distinct productions, scheduled to debut in October 2026 and late February/March 2027, respectively. Compensation for successful candidates includes $1,000 per rehearsal month (specifically July 2026 and January 2027). An additional $1,000 will be provided for each of the two productions (fall and spring), totaling a potential compensation of $3,000 for the full season commitment. Aspiring apprentices are also encouraged to apply. Support for housing may be provided. Interested dancers should complete an online submission. In-person auditions will be conducted in Washington, DC, exclusively by invitation.
