Description:

Camp Louise Aerial Arts Instructor

Camp Louise is a resident summer camp for girls, ages 7-17, located in Cascade, MD. Every summer, we host hundreds of young women who participate in a wide variety of activities, like sports, arts, music, outdoors, swimming, cookery, and more. Campers at Louise learn new skills, grow as individuals, challenge themselves, and make friends that last a lifetime. Staff at Louise get the opportunity to make a lasting and significant positive impact on our campers. Camp staff are role models and rockstars in the eyes of our campers.

We have offered aerial arts for several summers now and it has become a very popular activity area.

This summer we're looking to continue developing our aerial arts program. We work on silks and slings, and teach basic-intermediate techniques. Last summer campers learned, among other things, inversions, foot locks, triangles, and mermaid roll ups. This summer we expect to have returning campers who would want to build on what they learned last summer, and learn some more advanced techniques.

The Aerial Arts Instructor would be responsible for creating and leading age-appropriate and skill appropriate lessons for the various groups that will attend the aerial arts activity area.

This is a great environment to teach in, as all of the campers are very supportive of each other, and genuinely love learning new skills.

The Aerial Arts instructor would be required to live on site, at our beautiful camp, for the duration of the position. Room and board are provided as part of the job. The position runs from June 17- August 14. Weekly days and nights off are given.
