Step into the dark side… where wicked is irresistible. Auditions are now open for Mirror Mirror: A Naughty Villains’ Cabaret — a bold, late-night variety spectacle where fantasy meets fierce self-expression.

SHOW: Mirror Mirror: A Naughty Villains’ Cabaret
LOCATION: Edmonton Fringe – SERVUS Credit Union Stage at La Cité Francophone
DATES: Festival Runs August 13-23, 2026, 8-9 performances
Non-Union: All performers will receive an honorarium and a profit share.
This is not your childhood fairytale. This is a glittering, sultry, unapologetically adult cabaret celebrating LGBTQ+ artistry, where every performer transforms into a sexy Disney Villain alter-ego and competes for the ultimate crown: “The Fairest of Them All.” (At least 50% of the cast will be LGBTQ+ and priority will be given to BIPOC performers.)
We’re seeking performers who are ready to serve villainy with style — think high drama, high glamour, and stunning costumes, and bad behaviour. Whether your craft is:
-Music (live or lip sync)
-Dance & burlesque
-Comedy & character work
-Drag, circus, or variety acts
-Or something deliciously unexpected…
…we want acts that are captivating, provocative, and unforgettable.
This is an interactive pageant-style show, where the audience becomes the judge, awarding points as villains seduce, scheme, and slay their way to the top. Expect camp, chaos, sensuality, and power, all wrapped in a wild, immersive experience. Singing and dance skills are an asset.
If you’re ready to:
✨ Embody a villain with a seductive twist
✨ Push creative boundaries in a safe, celebratory space
✨ Uplift and showcase vibrant queer & POC storytelling
✨ Collaborate on a stunning costume to bring your inner-villain to life
✨ Command a late-night crowd hungry for something daring
…then it’s time to claim your spotlight.
