About

“Remembering the past is a bridge to the future.” – John Paul II The performance takes viewers on an extraordinary journey through time, exploring key events in Polish history. Using the language of the circus, the artists create a story about the birth and development of the state, from its mythical beginnings to the present day. We will witness the baptism of Poland, the Congress of Gniezno, and the early days of the Piast dynasty. We will delve into the colorful and controversial era of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. We will accompany members of the Great Sejm as they passed the Constitution of May 3rd. Participation in national uprisings and the fight for freedom during the partitions will transport us to dramatic moments, and the outbreak of World War II will momentarily shake our reality. We'll also travel back to the Polish People's Republic to capture the spirit of that era and a glimpse into the "working man." And yet, like every great story, we'll end on a positive note – in a free, independent Poland, full of prospects and hope for the future!
