We are looking for a Physical Theatre/Movement Facilitator to join our small but mighty team. The successful candidate will be supporting a brand new class - the ‘Movement Space’.

The Spring term will focus on the mental health and wellbeing of participants taking into account the changing government guidelines and the effect this is having on children and young people (CYP).

About Unique Community:

We devise community arts projects that are inclusive, accessible and developed in partnership with local people. Brent Youth Theatre is our leading service - delivering a range of performing arts sessions to CYP in and around Brent.

Movement Director (Facilitator) Job Description:

Leading on the design and delivery of the Spring Term 2021 Movement Space program to be delivered to one group (8-13) weekly.

Working with the Artistic Director to ensure that the CYP are benefitting from the sessions and noting anyone who needs to be signposted to other services.

Working with the core management and facilitating staff team to ensure sessions run smoothly for the CYP.

Working with the management team to ensure that all child protection and safeguarding regulations are followed.

Essential Experience/Skills:

2 years experience working with children and young people in an inclusive environment.

Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing circumstances.

Ability to choreograph and devise movement pieces with children and young people.

Desirable Experience/Skills:

Some experience facilitating sessions on Zoom.

If you are successful we will be asking you for an existing DBS check or to undergo one.

Fee:

£25 p/hr

Location & Session Day/Time:

Online/Brent (London)

Wednesdays 4.45pm - 5.45pm

Interviews (online):

Wednesday 13th Jan - Thursday 14th Jan

Staff Training (online):

Thursday 14th 5pm - 6pm
