About
The iconic Windmill Theatre will house an experience that pays homage to the beauty, the decadence and the history of the Windmill whilst at the same time bringing it firmly into modern times.
A melting pot of hedonistic soho, 1920s glamour and immersive digital theatre. Where the audience members role isn’t to simply sit back and enjoy the show.. but to co-author their own experience.
Role
We are casting for charismatic, highly talented dancers to be part of Londons most exciting project reinventing the Windmill theatre Soho. We want to create a diverse & non gender specific dance troupe, who can bring the classic showgirl routine to the 21st century.
We are looking for performers who are not only highly skilled in dance but are passionate about theatre - performers who will enjoy versatile characters and challenging roles.
You will be required to do shows on stage throughout the night with costume changes, (as well as smaller appearances throughout) Must be comfortable dancing in heels, as well as a wide variety of different costumes & partial nudity.
We are planning five shows per week, Thursday-Sunday. You will be required to attend all shows & rehearsals.
Requirements
- Highly trained dancer in both classical and contemporary dance
- Able to pick up choreography quickly
- Have a positive, bright and hardworking attitude
- Aged 18 yrs old & above
- Able to commit to a 1-3 month contract.
Furthermore, to become part of the dance troupe, not only must you be a highly trained dancer, but we are looking for people with some acting talent & a certain “special something”
Location
The heart of Soho, London’s Westend.
All staff must be able to arrange their own travel to and from the venue & rehearsal space (London location TBC) Therefore living in London already is ideal.
Salary
Circa £3000 pm (which inc rehearsal dates and shows)
