YOUR MISSION
· Perform the cutting, molding and making of stretch and non-stretch mesh bases;
· Make and mount locks of hair;
· Ventilate the base with natural and synthetic hair, horsehair, yak, etc.;
· Perform the application of coloring and styling of wigs;
Adapt mass production techniques to ensure standardization of manufacturing methods by applying CDS manufacturing and quality procedures and standards;
· Make technical and artistic updates as requested;
· Interpret, create and modify custom wig patterns;
· Do the fittings with the artists and make the necessary adjustments;
· Gather information for the development of technical documents, write them and update the procedures to be followed, ensuring their accuracy;
Participate in research & development as well as the simplification of wigs;
Participate in the creation of prototypes from an idea, an image or a sketch, taking into account the constraints in an artistic and acrobatic performance context;
· Assess tool and material needs, and place orders;
· Perform other related duties.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
· DEP in hairdressing or the equivalent combined with a DEC in fashion design or the equivalent;
· 4 to 6 years of experience in hairdressing, making and/or manufacturing wigs or the equivalent, including at least 3 years at CDS;
· Ability to work in 3 dimensions with dexterity and speed;
· Ability to develop new manufacturing methods;
· Ability to perform repetitive work with meticulousness, precision and requiring some physical effort;
· Ability to adapt to the unexpected and to work in a team;
Autonomy and sense of organization at work;
· Ability to work with certain toxic products, materials or non-traditional tools;
· Fluency in French and English (oral and written);
· Available and willing to travel as needed.
