Full-time, Monday-Friday, 35 hrs per week. Please note this will include evening work between 5.30-9.30pm.

Do you have the technical skills, experience and practical outlook to deliver a world-class programme of research events, meetings and activities? Do you want to work in a future-facing educational and research environment, where creativity and collaboration are valued and encouraged? Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) is looking for a Technical Producer (Events and Streaming) to facilitate the recording, broadcasting and preservation of PMC's events and activities, including editing and preparing filmed content for online publication.

In this new role, you will not just be providing technical support, you will be a key player in delivering PMC's dynamic programme. You will be joining a small and supportive team, where your technical know-how and problem-solving abilities will be used to the full. Working with colleagues and liaising with external partners you will ensure the smooth running of all our public-facing events, internal and external meetings, workshops, screenings and seminars. Your technical work will be the foundation for our event delivery, broadcast and legacy, but you will also be working flexibly to ensure our events and activities run to plan in all aspects. PMC are looking forward too: as our events programme expands and develops, we need someone ready to help develop our offer; in particular finding practical solutions for increasing the accessibility and inclusiveness of our events and related online content.

Salary

Salary will be in the range of £37,000 to £40,000 p.a. depending on experience.

Job Requirements
Required Experience

The successful applicant will have:

a track record of working within a fast-paced and public-orientated events team
extensive experience in video editing, preferably in a professional setting
proficiency in using professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, and webcasting technologies such as Zoom or OBS Studio
excellent customer service skills and the ability to be flexible and remain open to learning new technologies
a proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

Job Responsibilities
This role has responsibility for overseeing the recording, broadcast and preservation of events organised by the Centre, such as lectures, seminars, conferences and workshops. They will support all aspects of audio-visual delivery and provide practical support and advice for PMC supported events on-site in London and elsewhere, and stay abreast of new developments and innovations in the field so they can advise colleagues. They will manage the post production of recorded media, running multiple video projects simultaneously, and optimising content for various platforms. They will manage all on-site audio visual (AV) equipment, liaising with contractors and suppliers and assisting with rigging and derigging as necessary. As well as supporting events, they will provide technical support for meetings organised by PMC and assist with functions that require the use of AV. Working with the Events Lead, they will maintain and enhance PMC's access provision across events and meetings.
