Description:KC Aerial Arts performs throughout the year at events for hire as well as mounting theatrical productions in the early Summer and December. Events for hire range from outdoor community festivals to indoor signature entertainment at galas. Approximately 35+ performance dates per year depending on bookings.We are looking for a technical director to facilitate and supervise the technical operations of the performances. You will be responsible for helping to create a safe environment for all team members involved in shows. Compensation: Minimum $25 / hour (based on previous experience) Schedule: -Varies per show bookings -40+ hour per week in peak times / 5 hours or less per week in low times -Minimum of 10 hours per month in office work. -Office work can be done remotely. Qualifications : Required Qualifications: -2+ years experience in a management/crew lead role in technical theatre production -Excellent interpersonal communication skills with team members Preferred Qualifications: -Undergraduate degree in technical theatre production or equivalent education -2+ years experience in rigging circus performers / acrobats -Leadership and/or management training program completion -Technical theatre experience with circus performers / acrobats -10+ years experience in technical theatre production -3+ years experience in theatrical rigging Benefits Leadership and/or management training Circus performer rigging training Access to aerial and fitness classes at the studio for personal use Opportunities to observe and/or participate in events associated with the studio A fun and creative work environment with like-minded individuals Training in circus skills
