Summary

Under general direction, the position will function as the Technical Director and be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and technical aspects of the preparation of sets for Theatre and Dance productions. Act as lead staff person to produce (build, rig, install, and remove) scenery and props for the children's tour and various shows during the university theatre season. Works with faculty and staff to coordinate schedules and use of space. Oversee the activities of students and staff in constructing scenery and maintaining a nearly 25,000 square foot facility that includes two public theatre spaces, a fully equipped scenery shop, and multiple storage areas. Oversee and monitor student crews during technical rehearsals and performances. Assist with lectures and demonstrations for the Drama 34 class.
